Members of the Concord General Services department help guide the Concolor Fir tree at city plaza in front of the State House on Tuesday. The holiday tree, donated by Concord Parks & Rec, was brought in from Blossom Hill Cemetery and put in place for the upcoming Christmas Tree lighting. New Hampshire Department of Transportation crew members will complete the tree decoration.
Concord General Service crews will also complete decorations for the tree on the Concord Heights and the tree in Penacook.
Concord’s Annual Tree Lighting will take place this year on Friday, Nov. 24, from 4 to 7 p.m. at city plaza. Hot food will be available for purchase from Big Al’s Grille, the event food vendor. The annual tree lighting, now in its 38th year, is organized by the Concord Grange and Concord Eagles.
The 18th Annual Penacook Tree Lighting will be held Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 5:30 p.m. at Boudreau Square on Village Street.
