Highlights:  The Bobcats led 18-0 after the first quarter and took advantage of two Eagle fumbles and an interception in the second quarter to build a 44-7 lead at halftime. Uicker, a sophomore entered the game under center in place of an injured Underhill in the second quarter.

Highlights: The Generals stormed out to a 3-0 lead after the first quarter and led 4-0 at the half. Playing on back-to-back days, Stark rolled with 19 players most of the second half en route to their 12th win.

Highlights: Condon and Wuellenweber set up each other’s goals, with Condon volleying home a corner kick in the 14th minute and Wuellenweber finishing a shot from 15 yards out in the 68th.

Girls’ Soccer

Concord 2, Winnacunnet 1

Key players: Concord – Rachel Gridley (goal, assist), Kate Dickson (goal), Whitney Vaillant (assist), Kelley Mikelson (4 saves)

Highlights: Gridley scored early for the Tide and the Warriors were able to tie it up just before halftime. With about 20 minutes left, Gridley set up Dickson, who beat the Winnacunnet keeper to the lower left corner of the goal for the game winner.

Highlights: Farr delivered a corner kick that Insana headed home 10 minutes into the second half and Hilton made a big save as the Falcons defeated the Pride.

All their hard work paid off with an excellent game against a well-coached and talented Merrimack Valley team. Highlights: The Bears adjusted after a scoreless first half, with Loto finishing a rebound for a goal in the 60th minute. Wells set up Noni for a header in the 66th minute and Wolf played a through ball to Tuttle for the third goal with less than three minutes to play.

Coach’s quote: “It was slogging first half with no real pace. Our passing and linking was good, we were just missing the last pass to get a clean look at goal. Kennett decided to park 10 players in the defensive third, so space was hard to come by. The girls made the adjustments we talked about and executed them perfectly. Highlights: After a scoreless first half the Generals found the back of the net in the second, while a Spartan penalty kick was saved and another strike went off the cross bar to prevent the equalizer.

Coach’s quote: “The score doesn’t reflect it, but this was one of our better games all year thus far. The girls possessed well, and mounted a collective effort against a John Stark team that’s seen a lot of success thus far this season. Highlights: Winnisquam led throughout to secure wins in sets one and three, but had to battle back from a 19-14 deficit to win set two, claiming the match with a final score of 25-19, 28-26, 25-17.
