Concord 48, Manchester Memorial 28

Key players: Concord – Zack Dowards (2 TD passes), Divon Duncan (TD run, TD catch; interception), Kody Rashed (2 TD runs, TD catch; 2 forced fumbles, interception), Kaevryel Madison (2 TD runs)

Highlights: Concord got out to a shaky start, trailing down 20-7 with 5:34 left in the first half, but tied the game 20-20 at halftime and took the lead in the second half to earn its second win in a row. The defense stepped up in some key moments, forcing Memorial to turn the ball over four times. Late in the second half, Madison converted a fourth and 1 in Concord’s own territory for a long gain which set up a touchdown to secure the win.

Coach’s quote: “We had some early miscues which led to points on the board for Memorial, but I’m proud of our boys for not giving in and continuing to battle and compete throughout the game. Getting a tough come-from-behind win like this is another step forward for our program.” – Concord’s Jim Corkum

Records: Concord 3-4; Memorial 0-5
