Letter: Colby for Bow makes sense

The great thing about living in Bow is the sense of community residents share with one another. I’ve been awed by how people care for one another, respect one another, and listen to one another. I’m voting for Eleana Colby in the upcoming town election because she embodies these values. Her’s is a campaign of transparency and openness. When the current select board pushed back against the recording of meetings, Colby called that preposterous. How difficult could it be to click the record button on Zoom? It was this kind of common sense that led to the warrant’s passage at our most recent town meeting.

Her opponent, incumbent Bruce Marshall, spends a lot of time talking about how characterizations of him and his actions in office are often taken out of context and aren’t appropriate. It begs the question that if he’s truly being taken out of context and is misunderstood, why is he so close to all these controversial things that seem to ensnare him? With Eleana, what you see is what you get. A hard-working citizen who has spent time with boots on the ground in our schools and our community. It’s for this reason, I urge my neighbors to vote for Eleana Colby.
