Authorities are investigating the death of an adult woman in Concord near a tent site that they deemed suspicious.

Members of the Attorney General’s Office responded to the city Friday night to assist Concord police in their investigation.

A large police presence was seen off Manchester Street near the Soucook River and close to the New Hampshire Liquor Outlet on Friday night.

Concord Police were alerted Friday morning to the discovery of the woman’s body outside a tent site in a wooded area near the Pembroke town line. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the woman’s cause and manner of death.

Additional information will be released as it becomes available, the Attorney General’s Office said.
