A Concord man was arrested Friday shortly after robbing a bank in the downtown area, police said.

Merrimack County Savings Bank called Concord police at 11:12 a.m., reporting it had been robbed by a man in a mask, according to police.

Police arrested the man — identified as Mark Hinton, 40, of Concord — a short distance away from the bank on 89 North Main St., in the downtown area.

Hinton stole an unknown amount of money.
