Hillsboro-Deering awards and newsThe NHIAA and New Hampshire Athletic Directors Association recognized 14 seniors “who have excelled in athletics as well as academics while demonstrating outstanding school and community spirit and leadership,” according to the awards description in the NHIAA and NHADA press release. The 14 Hillcats selected this year are: Gracie Atkins, Chloe Braun, Tiarnan Burke-Smith, Owen Coombs, Emma Curley, Kaylea Davison, Erin Dean, Eli Ek, Serena Havunen, Zoe Kemp, Elizabeth Labier, Nate Ledvina, Alexis McClure and Rachel Vanolmen.
■Hillsboro-Deering High School has opened up the athletics forms link at hdsd.org for all HDHS students who are interested in signing up for a spring sport. If you are a fall and/or spring athlete, please click on the athletic forms link and fill in all of the forms. If you are a winter athlete, just click on the athletic forms link and update the sports section with what sport you are playing. Go to hdsd.org, click on “Hillsboro-Deering HS,” then click on “Hillcat Athletics” and lastly click on “Athletic Forms.” Please fill out the forms and hit submit when you are done. HDHS will be offering baseball, softball, boys’ and girls’ lacrosse and track and field.
Concord Crush lax registrationThe Concord Crush lacrosse girls’ 8U team is looking for players in grades K-2. The season starts April 1. Little League registrationConcord Little League is accepting registrations for boys and girls between the ages of 4-12 from Concord, Bow, Hopkinton, Henniker, Loudon and Penacook. Register at concordnhlleague.com. The season will run from mid-April (depending on weather) to June. There are four available levels: tee-ball (A), coach pitch (AA), minors (AAA) and majors. Raiders AAU hoops tryoutsGranite State Raiders registration/tryouts will be held on March 20 and March 21 at the Health Club of Concord, 10 Garvins Falls Road.
