The city’s three parking garages will see some closings and traffic pattern changes this week and into the spring.

Starting Sunday, the Storrs Street garage will be closed for a series of days for maintenance.

Maintenance will include sweeping, cleaning all catch basins, interior pressure washing, as well as repainting all pavement markings, according to the Concord city manager’s newsletter.

Days that the garage will be closed include Sunday, April 7 after 4 p.m.; Friday, April 19 after 5:30 p.m.; Saturday, April 20, all day; Sunday, April 21, all day; Friday, April 26 after 5:30 p.m.; Saturday, April 27, all day; Sunday, April 28, all day.

The garage will open at 6 a.m. the day after a closure.

The School Street garage, currently halfway through a multi-million upgrade project, will see some changes on the first floor beginning Monday and lasting until May 31 due to structural steel repairs.

These repairs will mean temporary parking and traffic closures for the north half of the first floor, as well as the closing of the vehicle entrance next to the School Street stair tower. The second entrance that serves the upper floors of the garage will remain open.

Certain handicap parking spaces on the first floor will be relocated to the fourth floor of the garage; two handicap spaces will remain on the first floor at the Warren Street end of the garage.

The Warren Street entrance to the garage will remain open, but only to serve the first-floor parking spaces located at the south end of the garage. No pedestrian or vehicular or pedestrian traffic between Warren Street and School Street will be permitted through the garage.

Finally, the State Street parking garage will be closed after 4 p.m. on Monday for spring sweeping. It will reopen on Tuesday at 6 a.m.
