Letter: Vote Maltais in District B

I’m Allie Maltais, and I ask for your vote for school board District B (Wards 5, 6, and 7).

Concord, I’ve been in your service for over 10 years. I’ve served you in nursing, health care, education, mental health, and special education advocacy. I’m a married, stay-at-home mom to two amazing boys. My oldest is in the developmental preschool in Concord. Diagnosed with autism, he inspires me more than anything.

Elect me to the school board and here’s my commitment. COVID-19 has affected everyone and with my professional knowledge and life experience, I will help guide us through this pandemic. I also want to propose more mental health support for our students during this pandemic. It’s needed. Student safety is next. Regardless of race, religion, identity, and learning differences, we need to better protect our students. We made national news last year that shattered our community’s trust in the district. We need to restore that trust, starting with effective communication and community involvement.

We need to be attentive to decisions regarding the budget. I will bring experience to the fiscal process. We must keep in mind the impact our decisions have on property taxes and the families we serve.

I’m personally invested in this position and with my multitasking skills, determination, passion, and experience I know I can help guide our school district in the right direction. I ask for your vote as a parent, as a neighbor, and as a friend. Stay safe.
