Ian Huyett joined Preti Flaherty’s Concord office as an associate in the firm’s litigation practice group. He recently completed a trial court clerkship in Augusta, Va., County Circuit Court. He is a 2018 graduate of Washington & Lee University School of Law, and a 2013 graduate of Kansas State University.

Kathleen Kennedy has succeeded Sarah Christie as president of the Lake Sunapee Region Chamber of Commerce. Kennedy, of New London Hospital, had served as the board’s vice president prior to moving into the president’s role in late May. Brett Cusick of Northcape Design was elected vice president at the June 18 Board meeting.

Tim Belden was promoted to store manager at the U.S. Cellular Concord store located at 75 Loudon Road and at the Manchester store located at 946 South Willow Road. Belden brings over nine years of wireless experience to his role. Belden joined U.S. Cellular in 2005 as a cashier/greeter before becoming a full-time retail wireless consultant. He was promoted in 2014 to sales manager in Presque Isle and most recently he served as store manager for U.S. Cellular’s Presque Isle, Maine location.

John Rogers, the founder and executive director of the Laconia Area Bicycle Exchange, is stepping down from his post and seeking a new leader to run the organization that provides affordable bicycles to area residents.

Jonathan Eck joined Orr & Reno as a shareholder. Eck’s practice will focus on commercial litigation matters for both businesses and individuals. He maintains a broad and varied practice that includes business litigation, disputes over inheritance and concerning fiduciary duties, commercial and residential leasing disputes, and high-exposure tort claims.

Meredith Farrell joined Orr & Reno as an association. Farrell joins the firm’s litigation department. A recent graduate of the University of New Hampshire School of Law, she will work on a variety of matters including general litigation, personal injury disputes and family law.

Sherry Burbank was appointed the director of student services for SAU 24. She was previously assistant director of student services and before that worked for the N.H. Department of Education’s Bureau of Special Education.
