Task Force dinner

■A Grief Support Group at the Franklin VNA & Hospice will begin on March 29 and continue through April 26, from 2 to 4 p.m. You are welcome whether you are the caregiver, family member, friend or a community member. This is a free offering but does require pre-registration. Participants are generally ready for the class if at least three to six months has passed since the death of a loved one. ■Annual Franklin Mayor’s Drug Task Force dinner at Mojalaki Country Club is ready for RSVPs for their March 24 event. Semi-formal event including choice of three entrees, cash bar, dinner, auction and raffles, community awards, music and dancing, and a photo booth. The cost is $45 per person. ■The Franklin Area Lions serving Franklin, Hill, Tilton, Northfield, and Sanbornton, will host a membership drive dinner, on March 13, at 6 p.m. at Franklin Pizza Chef. A fast moving, informational, service-oriented and fun-packed evening is planned with a 50/50 drawing. Tickets are a $5 donation. RSVP to (603) 705-8115, or email jwellswoodworking@gmail.com.

■City Council meets on Monday at 6 p.m. at City Hall. Visit franklinnh.org website for the agenda and past minutes.

■The Pau Smith PTA meets on March 8 at 6 p.m. at the school.

■The Franklin Public Library Board of Trustees meets on March 8 at 5 p.m. All are welcome and there is elevator access at the back entrance off the parking lot in back of City Hall, on Memorial Street.

■The Franklin Opera House Board of Directors meets on March 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the lower conference room at City Hall. All are welcome to attend. Not a supporting member of the Opera House yet? Visit franklinoperahouse.org for information or call (603) 934-1901.
