Letter: Gov. Sununu, be a hero

Published: 11-22-2023 7:00 AM

Gov. Sununu, seize the moment. This is your opportunity to lead the way for New Hampshire to stem gun violence. The tragic loss of life at NH Hospital this week compels all of us to act. You have shown that you can be an independent-minded leader. Please use your talent and position of power to enact meaningful legislation to stem gun violence and prevent more needless tragedies.

Tell those who try to divert us from gun safety legislation that it is not an either or choice. We need better mental health services and gun safety legislation. No excuses. We can do this! Be a hero for New Hampshire. You are in a unique position to lead. Let this be your legacy. This is what the vast majority of voters want and expect.
