Concord Police searching for suspect in armed robbery

A convenience store on Village Street was robbed Sunday night when a man brandishing a small firearm demanded cash and cigarettes from the store’s clerk, police said.

Concord police responded to the 7-Eleven at 9:25 p.m. for reports of an armed robbery but the suspect, a white man dressed in all black, was gone on arrival, according to a news release from the Concord Police Department.

He fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes. No injuries were reported.

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspect and a male witness who was inside the store at the time of the robbery.
